Ladies Night

Ladies Night

My parents came to visit for the weekend and the extra set of hands was welcomed with open arms. I love when they visit but our time together always goes by way too fast. Doug was on his annual bromance trip with a handful of his buddies so the ladies and I decided it was the perfect time to sneak away for some much needed girl time. My parents were kind enough to watch the little ones while I headed out for Ladies Night. Ahhh, Ladies Night… A few glorious hours of great friends, good food & strong cocktails.  We decided on Magnolia Wine Kitchen located in downtown Des Moines. It has the most gorgeous interior and feminine vibe. I’ve been a handful of times and it never disappoints. Sometimes all you need are a few hours with your girls to reset. I was home by 9:30 and my 4 yo was still up so we snuggled in bed and watched a movie. Seriously, the perfect Saturday night.

I purchased this lace top a few months ago and finally got to wear it. Lace is my go-to when I’m stuck on what to wear. It’s easy to dress up and I love the bell sleeves on this top; super fun for a night out. I purchased these bow heels about 4 years ago and cannot find the exact ones for the life of me but a sweet gal sent me the website where she purchased an almost identical pair. And can we please have a few moments of silence to appreciate the beauty of this clutch!? The Mr. nailed it this year when shopping for my birthday gift. I may have shed a tear or two when I opened it. I finished the look with my favorite stud earrings and stacked a few dainty rings. The perfect look for girls night!
