It’s that time of year again for our family… Planning family photos! As much as I love seeing the finished product, it can be a bit stressful planning the overall look for your family. Last year we stuck with neutrals and I loved how they turned out. When I found this Jenny Yoo tulle skirt at Nordstrom last year (currently unavailable), I knew that I had to plan our family photos around it. Roman was 6 months old and I was still struggling with the post baby weight. I loved how this skirt made me feel. I wasn’t tugging at my clothes during the shoot which is always a plus.
Tulle has a whimsical look and it’s so easy to dress up or make it a bit casual with a hint of glam. You can tuck in any top (or tie to the side in a knot), add a statement necklace or add a few dainty pieces of jewelry and you’re all set. Since the skirt was so long I chose to wear sandals as I knew they wouldn’t make any of the shots. If you go with the midi length, a pair of pumps would be a gorgeous option.
