Valentine’s Day is 9 days away and if you haven’t already purchased a gift for your special someone, now is the time to do it! This year we’ve decided to have a quiet night at home with our tiny men. As much as I love getting dressed up and sneaking out of the house with my Mr. for a few hours, I’m looking forward to a night in. Dinner in our pj’s and snuggling on the couch while watching Sesame Street is A-Ok with me.

We have never made a huge fuss of Valentine’s Day. As fun as it is to celebrate, we seem to prefer staying home and cooking a nice dinner. Our first year as a married couple, Doug forgot to grab a V-day gift so he stopped at a gas station on his way home from work. He walked into the kitchen with a huge, velvet rose and started laughing before I could even say anything. I wish I still had that rose but we laugh about it every time this holiday rolls around.
